Professional statement

Heather Cetto is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over ten years of experience helping individuals gain a deeper understanding of their emotional lives, patterns, and identities.

She is particularly interested in helping people explore who they are and why they do what they do, both on a surface level and at a deeper, unconscious level. Heather earned her Master’s degree from New York University and a postgraduate certificate in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy from The Training Institute for Mental Health, where she also trained, taught, and supervised for five years.

Specializing in Mental Health & The Arts, Heather works primarily—though not exclusively—with creative individuals, from fine artists and students to working professionals, as well as anyone interested in exploring their inner world through a creative lens.

Heather offers both online sessions and in-person consultations from her office in Upstate NY.

Message to clients

Welcome!

If you are experiencing setbacks around mental health, feel stuck, and want to better understand interpersonal patterns in your life, therapy is a great start. Together we can unpack what may be at the root of some of these issues when the time is right.

Each individual that I work with has different needs, but overall my style is relational, interactive, and exploratory. If this resonates with you, please reach out and ask any questions or set up a consultation.

Above all, my hope is that you will find the right fit for your needs, whether that is with me or another practitioner because each therapeutic relationship is idiosyncratic and that's what makes the alliance and inner work successful.
