Dr. Jacqueline Mesnik is a clinical psychologist with offices in Union Square, NY and Millburn, NJ. She has deep expertise in working with adolescent and young adult clients during times of transition when challenges such as anxiety, depression, and negative body image and disordered eating arise. She also welcomes many women struggling with fertility and new mothers into her practice, and provides compassionate support throughout pregnancy and postpartum.
Dr. Mesnik is passionate about creating an individually tailored treatment plan to fit each client's needs. She practices skill-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness, while also helping clients gain new insight into their underlying beliefs about themselves.
Dr. Mesnik is licensed in both New York and New Jersey, and has worked extensively with adolescents and young adults struggling with anxiety related to family conflicts, peer relationships, and school. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University in 2001, completed her postdoctoral fellowship at NYU Counseling Center, and received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Eating disorders - Reducing unhealthy eating patterns, beliefs, and behaviors, such as restricting, purging, and binging; healing the emotional pain surrounding disordered eating
Adolescent counseling - Working with adolescents, teenagers, and parents on anxiety related to family conflicts, peer relationships, and school stress
Perinatal mental health - Addressing issues specific to women and families during the pregnancy and postpartum period, including postpartum depression and anxiety
Reproductive counseling - Understanding infertility interventions and solutions; support during decision-making processes; coping with fertility problems and pregnancy loss
Family conflicts - Promoting communication and supporting family members to address challenges and reduce conflict and distress
