Professional statement

Jamie Albert is a licensed therapist who understands the challenges of balancing motherhood, marriage, and career while carrying the invisible mental load so many women face. As a therapist, wife, and mom of two, she knows firsthand the exhaustion, shifting identity, and struggle to find balance. She offers a supportive space for women and couples navigating parenthood, relationships, and life’s transitions.

Specializing in perinatal and maternal mental health, Jamie helps individuals and couples manage the emotional ups and downs of parenting. Whether you’re feeling lost in early motherhood, struggling with your relationship, or overwhelmed by family life, she helps clients reconnect, communicate better, and share responsibilities in a way that works.

Jamie’s approach blends Internal Family Systems (IFS), Intimacy from the Inside Out (IFIO), psychodynamic therapy, and mindfulness. She helps clients explore how past experiences shape their present challenges and guides them toward real, lasting change. Her goal is to help you feel more grounded, connected, and empowered in your life and relationships.

Jamie offers virtual therapy for individuals and couples in both Connecticut and Massachusetts. She provides a welcoming, judgment-free space where clients can show up exactly as they are. You don’t have to navigate this alone—she’s here to help.

Message to clients

I know how overwhelming it can feel to juggle the many demands of motherhood, relationships, and career while carrying the unseen mental load. You don’t have to navigate it all alone. My goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your emotions, challenges, and relationships in a way that feels safe and meaningful.

Together, we’ll explore the patterns, emotions, and experiences that may be shaping your current struggles. Therapy isn’t about having all the answers—it’s about creating space for self-reflection, growth, and meaningful change. You deserve to feel supported and understood as you work toward a life that feels more fulfilling.

There’s no “right way” to show up for therapy—just come as you are. My hope is that you leave our sessions feeling lighter, more connected to yourself, and with tools to help you move forward in a way that feels sustainable and authentic.
