Professional statement

Dr. Jon Reeves is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Seattle, providing remote therapy sessions to clients throughout Massachusetts and Washington state. He specializes in anxiety, depression, spirituality, and male intimacy and relationship challenges. Having worked at many university counseling centers, he has extensive knowledge of the challenges facing college students, graduate students, and early-career professionals. He supports emerging adults as they navigate identity formation, relationships with peers and family members, and academic stressors. He particularly enjoys working with young men, helping them to better understand themselves and work through intimacy challenges.

Dr. Reeves works primarily from a psychodynamic approach to help clients understand their emotions, recognize recurring patterns that cause distress, and empower them to make goal-oriented change. He is passionate about helping clients successfully confront challenges and build resilience through times of adversity.

Message to clients

I offer psychotherapy for individuals, with a focus on college students and young professionals. People seek therapy in times of frustration, suffering, and dissatisfaction--in my practice I take time to understand what brings you in and take a deep, collaborative approach to treatment. Whether you are looking into therapy to deal with a one-time event or to manage a lifetime stressor, together we can facilitate change to help redirect your time and energy from distress towards living a fulfilling life.
My training spans many areas of mental health and I have experience with many problems that bring people to therapy. My particular areas of expertise are those most often encountered by 18-35 year olds, including anxiety and stress, depression, sexuality, and confusion about relationships and careers.
My motto is caring curiosity. Together we can develop a trusting relationship to help you understand and change what ails you. Please contact me to discuss how we might begin and visit my website to learn more about my practice.
