Karen H Senecal-Davis is a licensed psychotherapist located in Brooklyn, NY. She completed her five-year training in psychoanalysis and psychotherapy at the National Institute for the Psychotherapies and has been in private practice since 2013. Her specialities include depression and/or anxiety, sexual and gender identity, support for parents of LGBTQ+ children/adolescents, social justice issues, life transitions, and grief and loss. Karen offers a supportive environment in which to explore the myriad feelings that can arise. She is committed to being an anti-racist clinician.

Karen believes the best predictor for effective therapy is the quality of the patient-therapist relationship. Her approach to treatment is empathic and collaborative. She is flexible and responsive to the particular needs and challenges of each individual patient.
