Professional statement

Over the last ten years, I have had the privilege of providing clinical services to a diverse group of individuals under various titles and networks. What stayed the same is my core values and ethical standards that are deeply rooted in my title as a licensed therapist. They are as follows: Service, Social Justice, Dignity and Worth of a Person, The Importance of Human Relationships, Integrity, and Competence. My experience working with adults, children, youth, and families in outpatient, residential, community, correctional, and school settings has strengthened my clinical expertise in the areas of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, Seeking Safety, Positive Parenting and Play Therapy. I was born in Liberia, West Africa but America has been my home for the last thirty years. Being a mom keeps me busy but also grounds me as a person. I love poetry, a good read and time in the gym.

Message to clients

I can't wait to be of assistance to you in completing the tasks essential to letting go of anything that stands in the way of your joy and achieving your goals. The most difficult part of doing the work is admitting that you need assistance and seeking that assistance from others. Asking for assistance, in contrast to what is commonly believed, is empowering since it propels you forward in the direction that you are seeking or have been unintentionally avoiding. Why, then, should one endure their pain in private when assistance is readily available and, in the vast majority of instances, incredibly beneficial. As a consequence of this, if you are prepared to take the leap, I am prepared to assist you in landing safely.
