Kilondra Davis is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a National Certified Counselor in Florida. She works with clients aged 13 years and older. Many of Kilondra’s clients experience relationship challenges, have experienced some form of trauma/abuse, experience low self worth, and have thoughts of ending their lives. Kilondra is passionate about serving those who are in need. Kilondra believes it is extremely rewarding to witness someone come to a place of hope and happiness. She is so grateful for the opportunity to support her clients through their journey.
Kilondra is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which uses a collaborative approach to identify the challenges and learn techniques and strategies to create solutions. In session, Kilondra focuses on equipping her clients with knowledge and skills to be able to manage the challenges that is being experienced while helping each client feel heard, validated, and safe. This approach supports clients to reach the outcome that they desire.
Kilondra's style involves empathy and nonjudgment through a cognitive behavioral approach. This approach focuses on the client's thoughts, emotions, and behaviors to assist in overcoming the challenges. When a client first comes in, Kilondra will work diligently to learn about the client's life perspective, challenges, strengths, and desired outcome. This allows for Kilondra to be able to help the client along their journey to become the best version of themselves. Kilondra is dedicated to providing a therapeutic relationship that has mutual trust, respect, sense of safety and support.
Kilondra received her M.A in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Florida Gulf Coast University. She has gained experience through many different internships, private practices, and nonprofit organizations which has enabled her to work with a wide range of challenges and people.
