Kimberly Moore is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with ARISE Psychotherapy Services, Inc out of East Providence, RI. Kimberly provides psychotherapy services to individuals across the lifespan including children, adolescents, and adults. She is also an LGBTQ affirming therapist who hopes to provide everyone with a safe, comfortable space to freely be themselves. Many of the clients who come to Kimberly for help are struggling with anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and difficulties in interpersonal relationships. However, her expertise and experience also extends to treating many other areas of mental health struggles.
Kimberly’s approach includes the use of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), an evidence-based practice that assists clients in identifying the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Kimberly helps clients to break their cycle of negative thought patterns, which are the foundation for many of the issues people struggle with. Kimberly also understands how past experiences can often significantly influence these negative thought patterns, and explores this connection with her clients as well.
Kimberly takes a more laid back, conversational approach in her sessions, as she believes that therapy works best when there is engaged back and forth dialogue. This helps clients to feel comfortable early on with her. Clients also appreciate how she allows them a safe space to express themselves in whatever manner they are comfortable with. Building strong therapeutic connections and rapport with her clients so they feel comfortable in therapy seems to come naturally to Kimberly. This creates an environment that is conducive to the change and healing clients come into therapy for and often report after working with Kimberly.
Kimberly is currently offering online telehealth sessions only. To make an appointment with Kimberly or to ask any questions, please send a message through here or through ARISE Psychotherapy Services' Zencare page.
