Professional statement

Lucy Prager brings to her practice sensitivity to the individual needs of her patients. Her curiosity and lack of judgement help clients open up and feel safe. She brings a unique balance of support, gentle push and offering space. She cares deeply and has devoted over 20 years to obtaining the necessary training to give patients the best that the field currently has to offer.

She works to promote the client 's inner wisdom and self-awareness, exploring the influence of the past on present behavior. She is well versed in various approaches to treating trauma including early attachment issues and is certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). She added EMDR to her toolkit in order to work more experientially with traumatic memories that may cause clients to feel stuck in negative belief cycles such as feeling unworthy or powerless.

Lastly, she brings an expertise in working with difficult family members or bosses. She brings training in Dielectical Behavioral Therapy as well as Schema Therapy, two evidenced based modalities. If you are struggling with regulating emotions or using habits and behaviors that may no longer be serving you, Lucy can work with you to help make necessary changes to be successful.
