Marilyn Rifkin, LCSW, is a psychotherapist and psychoanalyst In New York City and West Hartford CT. She works with adults, adolescents, children and couples and has been in private practice since 1993. She specializes in helping people deal with conflicts and challenges triggered by developmental and life transitions. Her approach to treatment is guided by her psychoanalytic training but she remains open and flexible in her therapeutic approach. Ms. Rifkin graduated with a Bachelor of Science, with Honors, from Ramapo College in 1978 and received her MSW from Fordham University in 1986. She supervises privately and at several training programs and has written a number of clinical papers and has a special interest in trauma and embodied experience.
