Meghan is a mental health counselor associate in Rhode Island, where she provide individual and group therapy to adolescents, college students, and adults. Her areas of specialization are anxiety, depression, perfectionism, student mental health, impulsivity, relationship difficulties, and issues with self-esteem and identity. She draws mostly from dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) in her work with clients as she focuses on issues such as emotion regulation, impulse control, and interpersonal difficulties. She also works a lot with parents of young children who are looking for help coping and regulating their child's emotions.
Meghan earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Rhode Island College in 2024. She received additional training through a clinical internship, working as a substance use and addiction counselor, and crisis intervention counselor. Prior to joining PVD Psych, she worked as a forensics and jail diversion counselor, supporting clients involved in the criminal justice system.
Meghan previously earned a Master’s in Early Childhood Education from Hunter College in NYC and worked in that field for 17 years. She was a Kindergarten teacher at The International Preschool in Manhattan and a Pre-Kindergarten teacher at The Wheeler School in Providence. Meghan's experience in early childhood development informs her understanding of clients at various stages of live and development.

Anger management - Addressing sudden outbursts of anger or sustained resentment; developing healthy anger expression and outlets
College & graduate student mental health - Specialized strategies for common issues of young adulthood, including school and career stressors, support around healthy relationships, existential concerns, drug or alcohol issues, eating disorders, and anxiety and/or depression.
