Michael Gacnik, founder of Preparing for Tomorrow, has an extensive background of working with individuals and families as well as youth and adults in a variety of mental health areas.
Michael’s Philosophy is, “If you change your perspective, you can find the good in even the darkest of corners.” As your counselor, Michael will provide an empathetic, safe and confidential place for you to work through those dark corners of your life.
Michael’s professional experience includes working with older youth in a residential setting who struggle with behavioral and mental health issues, including inappropriate sexual conduct, Oppositional Defiant Disorder and more. He has also spent time as a central Ohio caseworker working closely with families involved with the Juvenile Court system. Michael earned his undergraduate degree in Psychology from Heidelberg University. He then continued his education earning a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University and became an Ohio Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).
