Professional statement

Noah Trepanier is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a practice in the Flatiron District of New York City. Noah specializes in the treatment of anxiety, depression, and the interpersonal challenges surrounding family and relationships.

Noah incorporates insight-driven therapy, collaborating with clients to jointly examine how their past interpersonal experiences or any history of trauma may contribute to the patterns in their present lives. He focuses on the way these patterns affect clients' lives, helping them to interact and communicate more effectively with those around them.

Noah encourages his clients to take comfort in the fact that they do not have to shoulder the burden of emotional ups and downs alone. He is excited to help clients navigate unexplored areas of themselves, fostering a deeper understanding of their place in the world. He offers a safe, nonjudgmental space for inner exploration at his practice located steps from the 23rd street station.

Message to clients

We often feel that we have to deal with our struggles on our own, to shoulder the burden ourselves, and I think it can be a great relief to learn that there is no need for us to go it alone. Therapy provides an opportunity to express thoughts and feelings that may not otherwise see the light of day. Whether you are looking into therapy because you are feeling anxious or depressed, or because you find relationships difficult or unfulfilling, or because you are feeling the effects of trauma – it is my job to help you navigate unexplored parts of yourself and thus come to a better understanding of your place in the world.

I offer a safe, nonjudgmental space in which we might foster a spirit of curiosity, empathy, and healing. I work psychoanalytically from a relational perspective, so I am particularly interested in learning how you relate to the people in your life, and how certain patterns have evolved, and then helping you to develop a way forward.
