Rachel Wilson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker located in Oakland, CA. Rachel specializes in helping clients who recognize that they need to focus on improving their mental health, however their emotions seem to get in the way of any real progress. Many of her clients have tried therapy in the past, however did not see the benefits they desired. They continue to experience the effects of anxiety, depression, and trauma. Rachel also worked with clients who have relationship issues and often become overwhelmed by their stress levels.
Rachel takes a mind-body, holistic approach to helping her clients. As a certified yoga therapist through the International Association of Yoga Therapists, Rachel helps clients engage with how they feel physically and use this awareness to heal and grow. Clients learn how movement can help tap into buried or hidden emotions and also build confidence, peace, and wellbeing. Rachel’s therapy modalities are trauma-informed so that all clients have the support they need to feel safe in session, even if that means spending several sessions building trust with one another.
Rachel earned her Master’s degree from the University of California Berkeley. She is passionate about providing mental healthcare to clients of all backgrounds and identities and about advocating for social equality. Her goal is to help clients find a healthy balance in their lives so they can focus on the healing they need to feel comfortable and fulfilled.
