Licensed Certified Social Worker-Clinical, LCSW-CShellene is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 25 years of experience in a variety of social work positions to include FosterCare, Medical/Discharge Planning and Mental Health therapy. She has also served as a sailor in the U.S. Navy. But her passion as a mental health therapist has led her to work in community mental health agencies and to start her own private practice. Her clients consist of adults, mostly female but males also, young and old, members of the LGBTQIA community, and people of color. Her vast years of experience and ability to work with adult clients of every generation, makes her an approachable and knowledgeable therapist. Her clients struggle with issues such as depression, anxiety, grief, relationship problems, PTSD, low self-esteem, work-related stress, parenting, and caregiver fatigue. Shellene offers individual and couples therapy.
Shellene uses several methods of therapeutic interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Mindfulness, Supportive Therapy, Life Management Skills, and Psycho-Education.
