Shera Baker is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Providence, RI who sees a broad range of clients, including individuals with substance use issues, anxiety, grief, and depression. Many of Shera’s clients are adults who are navigating a challenging life change, like going through a breakup, becoming a parent, or starting/graduating college. She also loves working with older adults.
Shera utilizes goal-oriented therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Interpersonal Therapy to help her clients manage their symptoms and improve their day-to-day lives. She works with them to identify their triggers and develop healthy coping mechanisms. Shera takes a team-oriented approach and frequently works with psychiatrists and primary care providers to ensure her clients are receiving care for all of their mental and physical needs.

She takes the time to understand their background and stories and ultimately wants to help individuals realize their true potential.
