Message to clients

My name is Sofia Alonso, LMFT and APCC. I have worked with children, teens, families, couples, and individuals in different settings and countries.

I love my job, and I commit to all my patients in their therapeutic process. I am there with their ups and downs. I want you to experiment with how therapy helps you reach your goals!

I have training in different areas where you can choose and decide what is best for you. You are the expert in your life, and therapy will help you to identify and clarify situations that might interrupt or disturb your daily routine.

I have been working in a clinical area where high-risk and non-high-risk patients have benefited from my services.

I am a bilingual therapist (English and Spanish). I have training in different areas, such as PCIT (Parent and child interaction therapy), that helps to increase positive relationships between children and parents and decrease defiant behavior in children.

I can provide EMDR therapy. This therapy will help you relive traumatic or triggering experiences in brief doses while I direct your eye movements.

My patient benefit from a nonjudgmental and warm environment provided in therapy where the patient can work towards goals in treatment. As a therapist, I take the time to listen and address what my patients need to work in sessions where the patient can leave with a sense of relief, progress towards goals, and techniques to apply to manage challenging situations.
