Psychologist, PsyDWelcome. The work that we will do collaboratively strives to help you gain tools and accesses resources within yourself to help create positive movement in your life. I work alongside individuals as new interpersonal experiences are created that allow for detachment and separation from old patterns. The path to creating change can be facilitated through introspection as well as relaxation and focusing techniques to help better understand current thinking processes and behavioral patterns. Through this process it is possible to redirect your focus, and process experiences and ideas in a new way that can lend to improved communication and decision-making strategies to help support you in reaching your current goals.
In this work connection and trust are essential. I strive to achieve this through an empathetic, accepting presence that invites you to explore all aspects of your wellbeing. In my career I have worked with people from various cultures, backgrounds, and lifestyles. I have experience with a broad range of populations, symptoms, and diagnosis including anxiety, depression, mood disorders, grief and loss, trauma and transitions.
In my work I utilize evidence-based practices, including clinical hypnosis to help improve inadequate and poor sleep. I also work through a experiential and relational framework. The experiential relational style can improve self-awareness, identify opportunities for growth and empowerment, build resiliency, and improve communication and decision-making strategies that support your long-term goals.
I feel very strongly that in order for this process to be effective it’s important for you to feel comfortable. Throughout my experiences I continue to find that the therapeutic alliance is essential to the treatment experience. Connection and collaboration are vital to creating a space for understanding, as it allows for opportunities of self-understanding in a new meaningful way.
