Susan Poirier is a licensed mental health counselor with her private practice in the Finacial District in Boston. She works with Individuals and couples. Many of Suzi’s clients come in to address anxiety, depression, relationships and family dynamics. Suzi is particularly passionate about serving young professionals, new parents and helping client navigate conflict resolution. She also has advanced training in the area of ADHD, Anxiety, and Depression.
Suzi utilizes her trainings in CBT, Relational therapy, Trauma informed therapy, and IFS in session. Therapy is not a one size fits, using her expertise Suzi will come up with the approach that best fits each client's needs. Suzi's style is active, engaging, non-judgmental and warm. When clients first start therapy, a large goal is to establish a strong relationship and creating a comfortable environment in order to safely explore what brought them to therapy.
Suzi received their master's degree from Lesley University. Prior to owning her private practice, she worked many years in community mental health helping families and children as well as meeting with young adults individually. Outside of private practice, She enjoys being in nature and spending time in her community. Suzi offers in-person and remote therapy sessions.
