Zhana Balaam is proud African American educated and credentialed female therapist assisting with emotional healing via affordable telehealth services in North Carolina. Zhana’s primary focus is on serving Christian and nonreligious couples and individuals while also providing sex therapy to both populations. Clients book sessions when relational negative cycles of communication and disagreements are noticed, the holistic effect of infidelity is unbearable, and when client’s seek mental and emotional peace. With transparency, a healthy therapist-client rapport, and active efforts from clients, healing is a no longer a goal or desire, it’s reality.

Zhana’s therapeutic approaches are uniquely tailored per client and presented need(s) for therapy. To name a few, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is utilized to help clients understand reactions based on their emotions, Motivational Interviewing is applied for client empowerment, and Emotional Focused Therapy is to assist clients truly understand the underlying reasons for their emotions.

During sessions, clients enter a safe and judgement free zone for transparency, openness, accountability, and healing. In this safe place, clients began understanding underlying reasons for emotions and work towards healing and managing emotional triggers.

Message to clients

Life is constantly changing and to some, becoming more challenging to manage. Personal, relational, and professional responsibilities seem to collide and overwhelm you leaving you with the realization, “this is to much” or thought, “I need someone to talk to”. That’s where I step in to help! As your therapist, I’ll be your listening ear, support system, and accountability partner to manage your reality.

During 60 minuet sessions, we break down self-defined burdens, triggers, and your reason(s) for seeking therapy. Within that timeframe, we work towards uncovering the foundation of reasons for presented concerns, understanding emotions, and learning mental and emotional management skills. Note, you control your emotions, they don’t control you! No need to second guess therapy with me, you’re safe and you have a supporter that will help you work towards internal, relational, and spiritual wholeness.
