Professional statement

Zoe Johnson is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor in the state of Georgia. She specializes in treating Work-Related Stress, Relationships, Grief, and Life Transitions. Her journey started in earning a Bachelors in Art from Clark-Atlanta University, then a Masters of Art with a focus in Mental Health Counseling from Hampton University. For over eight years, she has had the honor of working in mental health across various settings.

Zoe finds herself most impactful with Millennials, empowering and motivating them towards having the relationships they’ve felt were always out of reach. She enjoys debunking irrational thoughts and giving tangible tools each session. Zoe really looks forward to identifying and seeing the changes you want, manifest while you are working with her.

Using approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solutions Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness, my therapy sessions are client-centered and rooted in creating an organic connection. Though these terms may not mean much to you now, our use of them in therapy will:

Help you disrupt thinking patterns that lead to distress in your relationships

Identify solutions for persistent personal and professional relationships

Teach you how to implement mindfulness strategies to balance yourself without becoming emotionally overwhelmed

Message to clients

There are several steps towards feeling better. Step one is recognizing there is an issue. Step two is asking for professional help. Seeking out therapy services can initially feel overpowering, but it is also courageous. I’m glad you’re here! I look forward to working with you on your therapeutic journey.
