Welcome to my practice. I'm glad you're here, exploring how therapy might help you. I orient my work as a therapist in a strengths-based perspective, which means that whatever concerns and struggles are guiding you to therapy today, I will help you focus on the things in your life that you can control as well as the many ways you have strength and resiliency. I will help you to harness your strengths in service of navigating a path to calmness, emotional regulation and stronger interpersonal skills.

I firmly believe in individualized, customized, evidenced-based care for each and every client. Your experience is unique to you, and I need to respect that by tailoring my approach to fit you and your struggles, specifically. I want each client to be my equal partner in his, her, or their therapy. I tell my clients that while I may be in the passenger seat with the road map to make suggestions, ultimately they are the ones driving the car and they choose where we will go.

Clients tell me they appreciate my laid-back attitude. I try not to take myself too seriously, but I will always, always take you and your struggles seriously. Otherwise there is little point in the therapy.

You have a natural capacity to be a happy and fully actualized person. Just as all our talents need practice and guidance so does your mental wellbeing.

As a Jungian analyst I am particularly interested in the depth of meaning that is often concealed in the issues people confront during life transitions and in response to trauma or other crises. I seek to provide a safe and contained space in which it is possible to explore those deeper levels of experience and build a more comprehensive understanding of one's life.

I know the first call is the hardest. I am really responsive, warm, and genuine while also smart, practical and insightful.

The Chicago Center for Cognitive Wellness is a therapy practice dedicated to helping your brain. They work with adults and adolescents who are struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and physical symptoms, with a particular specialty in the treatment of mental health concerns related to cognitive impairment or neurological issues.

Whatever the problem, they are there to support and guide patients and families, as they work to build the best brain they can.

Oftentimes we subscribe to living life on someone else’s terms - whether we heed to the opinions of loved ones or conform to society’s ideals. This is especially true when we endure pain and trauma, which can disrupt our sense of self and make us second-guess our needs.

But I believe that you’re the expert in your own life. I want to create a space for you to feel safe, affirmed, and heard. By listening to you and asking questions that need to be asked, I can help us develop a sense of shared curiosity about who you are at this moment in time. I provide a space where we can feel, think, act, process, and problem-solve together in an authentic way. There are so many ways to live - let’s explore them together.

Life can offer unexpected challenges. During trying periods, it is natural to need additional support and guidance. However, the decision to reach out for help can often be intimidating. My goal is to provide a welcoming environment where clients feel comfortable discussing sensitive and personal topics. My approach is both collaborative and goal-oriented. I welcome feedback from clients and utilize that feedback to tailor the treatment approach. I recognize that therapy is not one size fits all. In my practice, the treatment plan is individualized to the client and often evolves throughout the treatment process.

Typically clients are initially seen weekly. As the client begins to progress and meet treatment goals, the sessions are usually spaced out every other week or once a month. Of course, I am flexible in my timeline and realize that every client works at a different pace. My ultimate goal is to provide the client with the skills that they need to move forward with their lives. The treatment modalities utilized (CBT, ACT, etc.) are meant to be short-term treatments with long-term results.

I feel it is an honor and privilege to work with clients to help navigate their challenges and obstacles. It takes a significant amount of courage to share with someone their secrets or difficulties. I take this honor very seriously and will work to the best of my ability to help you create skills and methods to maneuver through your obstacles. I hope to assist you in so much that you will be able to take the tools developed within our sessions and apply them for yourself, by yourself.

I know it can be difficult to ask for help. I consider it a privilege to be allowed into your life to help. I share my positive energy with my clients to instill hope and encouragement that change and progress is possible.

As a modern therapist, I provide culturally sensitive, unique, and creative therapy to help individuals and couples. I understand how hard it can be to find a therapist that seems relatable or trustworthy. I work particularly well with individuals in their 20s, 30s, or early 40s looking for a therapist that "gets it". This may be an overwhelming point in your life, but pursuing psychotherapy can be one of the most transformative experiences you can take to heal & grow from your current state.

As your therapist, I will help you navigate ways your thoughts may be negatively impacting your life. I will help you learn ways to manage and pursue the goal of not allowing anxiety and depression to derail your days. My role will be to help you explore and identify unclear reasons that prevent you from living or having your envisioned life.

My approach is compassionate and to truly listen. I seek to be in-tune with you as an individual.
