Group Therapist

Brianda García is a mental health therapist specializing in anxiety, depression, and identity work. Immediately meeting her, you will notice a blend of empathy, investment, and genuine concern in her feedback. With her guidance, you will feel safe and comfortable during session, which will allow you to express yourself willingly in session. Rest assured, confidentiality covers our conversations in session to stay between us. So, speak to her in English, Spanish, or Spanglish, she is comfortable code-switching and has a Mexican-American background.

Brianda's counseling style primarily revolves around two modalities: person-centered and psychodynamic approaches. This means talk therapy with long-term goals, which are paused when emergent topics come up. Adding creative activities, journaling, and even games is what makes my counseling sessions different from others. Additionally, with permission, we explore a client’s upbringing to answer questions identifying triggers that can cause stress.

Start the counseling process and reach out to schedule a FREE phone consultation! Currently, Brianda offers both virtual session to Texas residents and in-person sessions in Austin, TX. Using the Zoom platform, online sessions are available Tuesday-Fridays afternoons/evenings and Saturday mornings. In-person sessions are held in an office located near Barton Creek Mall and are hosted Thursday and Friday afternoons/evenings and Saturday mornings. Brianda is an ally of the LGBTQ+ community and offers reduced rates to the BIPOC community.

Brianda’s clientele typically consists of clients as young as 13 years old and anyone who gravitates working with a youthful and patient counselor.
