Description
T.R.I.B.E.S was developed to assist with healing the inner split, connecting to the teacher inside oneself and to identify the truest essence of dance that comes from life experiences and the inner level of awareness. This program will encourage each participant to take dance into their being in an effort to begin to heal and strengthen the body.
The heart of the class will be taught using yoga and dance movement and rhythmic patterns from Indigenous cultures spanning from Africa, India to the Mediterranean. Through community, connection, and expression, participants learn about various cultures and honors others and the worlds they live in. This technique concentrates on learning and experiencing a variety of goal-directed physical movement patterns that use the elements of bodily movement (rhythm, space, and force). The elements of Body Ego Technique fused with Indigenous inspired dance will be used to bring awareness to the body and self; therefore helping each participant develop overall wellness, which may be reflected in body posture, movement and divine essence.
