These are unprecedented times. You are on a level of “lockdown” and your life has been put on hold. It’s isolating, uncertain, and lonely. Things feel out of control. Time seems to vanish as one day blurs into the next. Work/life balance, relationships, erratic sleep cycles, and unfinished emotional business challenge you.I can help you regain a sense of control in this out-of-control world.
My approach to therapy is empowering, collaborative, and authentic. I understand that taking the first step toward making changes is the hardest step. I’m here to support you in the process of healing, discovery, and transformation. Here is one of my favorite proverbs that mirrors therapy, ‘Just as the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly.’

“People say that what we're all seeking is a meaning for life. ... I think that what we're seeking is an experience of being alive, so that our life experiences will have resonances with our own innermost being and reality, so that we actually feel the rapture of being alive.” – Joseph Campbell
Have you ever had the thought: “If only I could just stop [Fill in the blank] my life would be so much better”? Well, I want to tell you that you are right! Whether you struggle with chronic anxiety or depression, drinking, overeating, toxic relationships, negative thought patterns, low self-esteem, addictive/compulsive behaviors, or any number of self-destructive mental habits that keep you from becoming the fullest expression of your true self you already have an intuitive knowing that this is not who you really are. I am here to help people uncover, discover, and discard the mental habits that keep them feeling ‘stuck.’ I work with people using the tools of traditional psychodynamic psychotherapy; neurobiology, and behavioral approaches, which I merge with (historically) Eastern practices of meditation and mindfulness that are scientifically proven to create long term cognitive and behavioral change. It has been my experience that once we are able to put down behaviors and thought patterns that no longer serve us, we become free to find out who we truly are and live life to the fullest and fully experience the rapture of being alive.

Have you been spending more time in your head lately? Are you finding yourself exhausted from uncontrollable worry or self-doubt? Maybe you've had this inexplicable nagging feeling for a while now that it's time to grow, to heal. You shouldn’t have to carry all of this on your own, which is why I cultivate a comforting and reenergizing space that allows me to hold these feelings for you so that you can distance yourself from the negativity, get out of your head, and return to the here and now.
You are uniquely powerful and dynamic, and I am dedicated to helping you see this for yourself. But first, we must work together to deconstruct and rewrite the stories you’ve been telling yourself that have allowed you to believe that you are anything less. I do so by utilizing a wellness, or holistic, approach to promote empowerment and understanding of how to use your strengths and innate abilities to overcome current symptoms and establish the confidence to take on hardships that the future may hold. I am so happy that you are here, ready to begin the journey to wellness and will be by your side with every step that you take.

I will work with you to provide a warm, welcoming, and affirming space to safely speak about anything that is keeping you from living fully and richly or from progressing towards your goals.
As we develop our relationship, I will also respectfully challenge you in the service of expanding your sense of what is possible. I believe that once established, a trusting and generative therapeutic relationship is a place to laugh, cry, dream, vent, reflect, and expand. It can allow you to feel seen and heard in new ways, and through that experience, to develop new ways of feeling, acting, and thinking in your work and relationships.
Together we will work to deepen your knowledge of yourself, both in the present moment and in the context of your life history. We will identify and utilize your existing strengths and resilience to help address life concerns, provide clarity about parts of yourself that could benefit from greater attention and development, and improve your ability to feel comfortable identifying and coping with challenging emotional situations.
