Practice Information

Matrescence Therapy is a unique practice, in that it only works with those in the reproductive and early parenthood years. This is a time in life that is often labeled as blissful and exciting, but can be one of the most challenging transitions people experience. This is a time of significant change, and usually involves uncertainty and overwhelm.

Matrescence Therapy offers services to women who are experiencing infertility or miscarriages, pregnancy, postpartum, and the transition into motherhood. We provide therapy and support during this time of vulnerability and identity shift, when many people experience fear, relationship differences, guilt, body image concerns, mood changes, anxiety, and depression.

Becoming a parent is one of the most dynamic experiences in life. You don't have to do it alone.

What services does your practice offer?

Matrescence Therapy is a mental health practice that supports those in Illinois. We offer individual and couples therapy.

What are your practice's specialties?

Our therapists are specifically trained in perinatal mental health, which includes infertility, pregnancy and loss, postpartum, and parenthood. Most of our therapists are parents themselves and have lived experience of this transition.

How does payment work at your practice?

Matrescence Therapy is in network with BCBS, United Healthcare, Optum, and Cigna. We work with many clients who are considered "out of network," and are happy to provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance plan.
