We are a remote only community focused sliding scale mental health practice in NYC providing treatment to adults and couples ages 18+. Our mission is simple: provide affirmative psychotherapy in a sustainable way to the community. We have a special commitment to serving queer communities of color.
NYC Affirmative Psychotherapy offers sliding scale individual, couples, group, and online psychotherapy. We also have therapists on staff that speak languages other than English. Please refer to our website for the most up to date information about language options.
We specialize in trauma, anxiety, depression, college mental health, LGBTQIA, queer communities of color, racism, systemic oppression, intergenerational trauma, healing justice work, grief, and addiction.
Simply put: because we believe that healing, your healing and our collective healing cannot occur alone. We firmly believe that change is possible and that we as human beings grow in relationships where an empathic and attuned other bears witness to our struggles.
We recognize the innate strengths that continue to allow people to function while enduring difficult life circumstances. Challenging childhoods and distressing adult experiences, coupled with the toxic impact of systemic oppression, racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, and xenophobia impact our mental health.
You are not alone. Lets take the next step together.
