Welcome to my page! My name is Elizabeth Geraldes, most of my experiences have been working with clients with diverse backgrounds, first-generation immigrants, and those who suffer from anxiety disorders. I am a Neurodivergent Therapist, who has spent many years helping and coaching those who are diagnosed with being on the Spectrum and ADHD. I have extensive training in trauma practice, particularly around experiences of abuse, violence, and intergenerational trauma. I am certified in CBT, TEAM-CBT, Trauma Focus CBT, CBT-I, and DBT, with knowledge in Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), EMDR, and the Nurture Heart Approach. I also have experience in treating tics by utilizing CBIT techniques.
My passion in life has always been to provide relief and hope to all clients. I started in the field of mental health, as a Respite Worker, Clinical Case Manager, Crisis Counselor at a suicide hotline in NYC, Therapist, Clinical Supervisor, and now a private practice owner, as well as an Academic Specialist. I started my practice in April 2021, so that I can fully dedicate my time to providing support to those who are willing to take the next step in their journey. I provide a nonjudgemental environment, filled with support, care, and expertise.
I provide virtual individual and group therapeutic sessions. Furthermore, I provide clinical supervision for licensed Associate Counselors (LACs) and licensed Professional Counselors, who are looking to obtain hours for their certification as an Approved Clinical Supervisor.
I specialize in anxiety disorders, such as phobias, panic disorders, and obsessive-compulsive disorders, as well as depression, and trauma. I have years of experience working with mood disorders, borderline personality disorder, dissociative identity disorders, ADHD, Autism, and C-PTSD. I have a history of working with children with academic problems, as well as young adults in transitioning from childhood into adulthood.
When looking for a therapist, you want to make sure you feel comfortable around them. I have extensive training and experience for over 10 years in working in this field, however, my biggest strength is that I have a lot of compassion for the well-being of my clients. I am very dedicated to helping anyone, in achieving their goals. I understand the frustrations in dealing with day-to-day stressors, sometimes you just need someone you can talk to who can provide meaningful support without judgment.
I use Headway for certain insurance, such as Cigna, Aetna, Oxford, UHC, and Optum. They will verify your insurance and submit the claims on your behalf directly to your insurance company. As for Horizon BCBS, I will be submitting the claims on my own directly to the insurance company. If you do not have one of these health insurances, our fees range from $125-$200 depending on the services.
