About

What services does your practice offer?

In addition to our extensive client base, our team of clinicians specializes in a wide range of mental health areas, each contributing unique skills to ensure the delivery of high-quality care tailored to individual needs. Some clinicians offer flexible scheduling, including evening and weekend appointments, while others provide services exclusively through remote or in-person modalities, and some offer a hybrid approach combining both. Our team is diverse and inclusive, with clinicians who identify as queer, gay, lesbian, non-binary, and who are respectful of preferred pronouns. We also have clinicians from various ethnic backgrounds, including Greek, Latino, and Jewish, and several are bilingual.

What are your practice's specialties?

The clinicians at our practice possess comprehensive expertise in addressing a myriad of concerns, ranging from complex and systemic trauma to mood and anxiety disorders. We are adept in navigating relationship and communication challenges, facilitating couples counseling, and providing support for grief, mood disorders, self-esteem, ADHD, eating disorders, family dynamics, and social relationships.

We hold a particular proficiency in addressing the unique needs of the LGBTQ community, ensuring tailored care for individuals who identify as non-binary and those undergoing gender transitions. Furthermore, our commitment extends to clients grappling with unidentified challenges, helping them decipher and overcome barriers hindering their personal growth.

How does payment work at your practice?

Therapy Insights Practice proudly partners with several major insurance providers, including Aetna, Cigna, Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield, Unitedhealthcare (encompassing Oxford, Optum, Oscar, and UMR), and Magnacare. For an exhaustive list, please refer to our insurance section.

Recognizing the importance and often elevated costs of mental health services, we strongly encourage clients to utilize their insurance benefits towards session fees. We facilitate this process by directly billing your insurance. If your coverage aligns with our in-network providers, you would only be accountable for any deductibles or copays as dictated by your plan.

For clients preferring not to employ insurance, we have established a session fee of $175. Acknowledging varied financial circumstances, we offer a sliding scale and invite you to discuss your financial situation, ensuring we can tailor our assistance accordingly.

For guidance throughout this process, our office assistant, Max Maudlin, stands ready to support you.

Why should I choose your practice?

Our clinicians at Therapy Insights Practice are skilled and dedicated; non-judgemental and inclusive and have extensive experience in the lead therapeutic modalities in the mental health field. Our practice is comprised of many from the LGBTQ community and our clinicians have been trained to understand their specific needs. Our clinicians identify as straight, queer, bi, non-binary, male, female in addition to being ethnically diverse and some bi-lingual. We use pronouns of our choice and encourage others to as well. We work with all populations (ages 16+) and we are in-network with major commercial insurances. We provide hybrid, in-person and virtual options for therapy sessions. Clinicians work various days and hours which can benefit those with time constrictions. Most importantly, finding the right clinician is such an important decision and we help you match with the best therapist for your specific needs during the initial consult.
