She is experienced, caring, and empathetic. She earned her master’s in psychiatric-mental health nursing from New York University where she focused on psychopharmacology and multiple psychotherapy treatment modalities. Before joining Rivia, Kelly worked as a psychiatric nurse practitioner at RWJBH-Somerset Hospital for many years where she worked with patients struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, addiction, and eating disorders. She also has experience working with the LGBTQ+ population at the hospital’s Babs Siperstein PROUD Center. Kelly has over 14 years’ experience working with those struggling with mental health issues. She has excellent clinical skills, expert knowledge, and a passion for treating those with mental health concerns. In 2017 Kelly received an Advanced Practice Provider Award for Excellence in Professional Practice from RWJBH-Somerset Hospital. She is committed to delivering care with a supportive, nonjudgmental, empathetic approach. She ensures that patients are listened to and feel comfortable. She wants patients to leave feeling that all of their questions have been answered. She works with patients to develop individualized treatment plans that combine both psychopharmacology and psychotherapy.
