Kelly Scott is an ANCC board-certified and licensed psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP). She is experienced, caring, and empathetic. She earned her master’s in psychiatric-mental health nursing from New York University where she focused on psychopharmacology and multiple psychotherapy treatment modalities. Before joining Rivia, Kelly worked as a psychiatric nurse practitioner at RWJBH-Somerset Hospital for many years where she worked with patients struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, addiction, and eating disorders. She also has experience working with the LGBTQ+ population at the hospital’s Babs Siperstein PROUD Center. Kelly has over 14 years’ experience working with those struggling with mental health issues. She has excellent clinical skills, expert knowledge, and a passion for treating those with mental health concerns. In 2017 Kelly received an Advanced Practice Provider Award for Excellence in Professional Practice from RWJBH-Somerset Hospital. She is committed to delivering care with a supportive, nonjudgmental, empathetic approach. She ensures that patients are listened to and feel comfortable. She works with patients to develop individualized treatment plans that combine both psychopharmacology and psychotherapy.
