She will create an integrative treatment plan with you which may include medication, supportive therapy, supplement recommendations, or lifestyle changes.
Lamara is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with prescriptive authority. She graduated from the University of Colorado with a Masters of Science in Advanced Practice Nursing as well as from Columbia University with a Master’s of Social Work. She also has specialized training in perinatal mood disorders and psychopharmacology through Postpartum Support International (PSI). Clinically, she has over 10 years of experience in providing mental health care to adults, teens, and children in a variety of settings. She has worked in psychiatric emergency rooms, inpatient psychiatric units, and outpatient mental health clinics.
Lamara's practice utilizes a strengths-based and whole person approach which assumes that all individuals have an inner resilience that can be utilized to live the life they want to live. She honors that all patients are experts of their own body and mind. She practices with the belief that all people have a fundamental desire for healing. She wants those she works with to thrive and not just survive. Her approach is collaborative, integrative, and focused on empowering her patients to reach their goals.
