I am a Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who received her degree from the University of Texas at El Paso. With almost a decade of experience in the medical field, I hope to have made and continue to make an impact in society like my patients have had in my personal and professional growth.

As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, it will be my mission in this profession to help and advocate for patients who struggle to be heard and understood. And I hope to do so by managing their treatment with empathy and compassion. I will apply my advanced training to diagnosis apply therapeutic activities like the prescription of medication, and the administration of psychotherapy to treat my patients.

I am very fortunate to be in a profession that is in a progressive age of healthcare and know that specifically in mental healthcare relies on a culture of acceptance and openness and unbiases. I work hard to provide a safe environment for all my patients. As a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, I promise to advocate for patients who struggle to be heard or respected, and to manage their treatment with empathy, compassion, understanding, and attention to holistic care.

Oftentimes, the diagnosis of a mental health disorder comes with negative stigmatizes sets by society and this transitions to treatment and results. I am always saddened by these occurrences but have set my professional goals to change this by furthering my education and with my practice in this specialty be part of the change. I’ve seen people unfairly neglected by our health care system, which has made me determined to make a difference in their lives as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner.
