She is a graduate of Grand Canyon University where she earned her BSN. Her extensive 16 years of Nursing experience in various medical/mental health facilities and organizations fueled her passion for the care of patients struggling with social stigma from mental disorders and led her to earn her Master’s degree at Walden University to become a psychiatric/mental health nurse practitioner. She has honed her skills through her exposure in the inpatient mental health facility.
Her private practice is aimed at providing excellent care to patients ages 16 and above. Ms. Onodu specializes in the treatment of a wide range of mental disorders including psychiatric illness, behavioral problems, and personality disorders, and with psychotherapy. She utilizes the holistic approach and biopsychosocial model in the treatment of her patients and engages her patients during assessments, psychoeducation with empathetic listening, and selection of the best evidence-based treatment options.
