Dr. Anise Tatiana Wheeler is a doctoral prepared-nurse practitioner possessing dual board-certification in psychiatry and family medicine. Prior to private practice, she practiced for over seven years in adult primary care at Kaiser Permanente and ten years in workers compensation and Corporate Health at Johns Hopkins University Hospital where she gained expertise in stress-related employee leave of absence.
In her private practice, Dr. Wheeler specializes in the treatment of mental disorders among adolescents ages 15 to 18, adults, ages 19 to 65, and elderlies, ages 65+. Her (clinical) experience includes managing depression, anxiety, trauma, psychosis, attention deficit disorder, early dementia, anger, stress, and insomnia. She is dedicated to helping clients struggling with depression, anxiety, psychosis, work-related stress, as well as clients struggling with adjustment disorders (to either their medical diagnoses or grief and death).
Dr. Wheeler couples traditional psychiatric treatment with alternative medicine. She not only provides conventional psychotropic meds management for her clients, but also uses psycho-nutrition, brain booster vitamins, coupled with mindfulness and talk therapy modalities (in order) to help her clients achieve their optimal state of wellness--mind, body & spirit.
