Professional statement

Dr. Gowri Padma Thummala has been interested in psychiatry since medical school. During her studies, witnessed those around her struggle with mental health and class with the stigma around these disorders. As a result, she became passionate about helping others through those dark times and wanted to make a change in the mental health field herself. She specializes in a wide variety of disorders, including unipolar depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, schizophrenia, and schizoaffective disorder.

Dr. Thummala joined Mindful Health Solutions because of our evidence-based treatments. While in school, she developed a profound interest in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) therapy and esketamine treatments. She has read about and seen positive results from these treatment options in numerous studies. She’s excited to explore these alternative treatments with her patients and find a path that works for them.

As a psychiatrist, Dr. Gowri Padma Thummala wants to work in collaboration with her patients. Her goal is to guide them through the best treatment options for them so they can find relief. She believes in each patient having a unique path, and wants to work with people who are hopeful to find a way toward healing.
