Dr. Tamirisa is a board-certified psychiatrist who works with children, adolescents, and adults, with a particular passion for helping younger patients navigate emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges. She has extensive experience treating conditions such as anxiety, depression, autism spectrum disorders, and other childhood and adolescent mental health concerns. She also works closely with adults treat the full range of psychiatric conditions including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, OCD, PTSD, eating disorde, reproductive psychiatry, and other mental health concerns. Dr. Tamirisa completed her medical education in the UAE completed her adult psychiatry residency at St. Louis University Hospital, where she also received formal training in psychodynamic psychotherapy. She then pursued her longstanding interest in pediatric mental health by completing a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. This diverse training allows her to care for patients across the lifespan while bringing specialized expertise in child and adolescent psychiatry.
An early adopter of telepsychiatry, Dr. Tamirisa began providing virtual psychiatric care well before it became commonplace. She appreciates the flexibility and accessibility that telemedicine offers, allowing patients and families to receive high-quality psychiatric care from the comfort of home.
