Professional statement

Ari Kloke is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California who works with clients of all ages and backgrounds, with a special focus on those navigating significant life transitions. She sees these moments, however messy or challenging, as sacred opportunities for growth and self-discovery. Ari also supports clients moving through trauma and grief, drawing on years of experience in palliative care and hospice before she moved into mental health therapy full-time.

Ari's path has been anything but linear. She spent nearly two decades living and working in Germany during her 20s and 30s, an experience that showed her both the beauty and the complexity of being human. She returned home, earned her MSW, and became fully licensed in 2018. A self-taught photographer and visual artist, she often integrates creativity into her work, using techniques like "color by emotion" and other expressive exercises to help clients process feelings in ways that don't always rely on words.

Ari's approach is warm, collaborative, and client-centered. She focuses on building trust from the very first session by listening closely, offering non-judgment, and creating a space where clients feel safe to be vulnerable. She sees her role as walking alongside each person and tailoring her training and experience to their unique needs and lived experience.

Ari sees clients through Wellqor, which offers online therapy across California. To get started with her, patients fill out the Get Started form on the Wellqor website, and a member of the front office team will reach out with next steps and help find a time to meet.

Message to clients

Welcome! I'm Wendy, and I go by Ari. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience across many settings and with clients of all ages and backgrounds. I'm especially drawn to walking with people through significant life transitions, which, though often messy and challenging, can be sacred opportunities for growth and self-discovery.

During my 20s and 30s, I lived and worked in Germany, where I saw both the beauty and the complexity of being human. When I returned home, I earned my MSW and became fully licensed in 2018. My commitment is to meet each person with respect, presence, and compassion, right where they are in their healing journey.

I consider it an honor to walk alongside clients and to collaborate in creating a safe space that fits their unique needs and lived experiences. What I value most is the chance to slow down and share meaningful time together, because when we show up fully and deepen our self-knowledge, healing becomes possible for all of us. I often bring in creativity and art as another way to process what can be hard to put into words. In our work together, I promise to be present, to listen with my full attention, and to respect you as the true expert on your own life.

As the Senegalese Wolof proverb says, "People are medicine to one another." I look forward to talking with you soon.
