Professional statement

I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist with extensive experience working with individuals who are neurodiverse or have anxiety or depression. I enjoy helping clients who have new diagnoses of ADHD and/or Autism understand and work to process their new identity. I’m also a mother of two young children who are neurodiverse. I find using experiences with my own children, as well as my professional knowledge, enables me to successfully help parents who are struggling with parenting neurotypical or neurodiverse children or children with developmental delays. I also have years of experience working with individuals (or parents of individuals) who have cognitive differences/intellectual disabilities. I am fluent in Spanish, and I enjoy working with individuals from other cultures. I deeply believe that having insight into other cultures and being curious about cultural differences helps in the therapy work.

I use multiple modes of therapy, depending on the needs, ability levels, and experiences of each client. I integrate aspects of cognitive behavior therapy, behavior therapy, mindfulness therapy, humanistic therapy, and solution-focused therapy to best support my clients. I also have extensive experience with IEPs and 504 plans.

I work to foster a compassionate, supportive, and genuine relationship. I believe you must feel fully supported, understood, and accepted to make meaningful progress. My goal is to help you feel happier and fulfilled. Our work may be difficult, but together we can bring about a better future for you or your loved one. Please contact me if you are interested in working together. I offer sessions in-person if you live close to Libertyville, IL, or virtually for anyone in a Psy-Pact Approved State (which are listed on the website).
