Professional statement

Alicia Thomas, MS, LPC-Associate supervised by Dr. Cheryl Ivory, PhD, LPC-S specializes in working with teens (15+) and adults. Her goal is to partner with her clients as they travel on their journeys to healing. In working with Alicia, you can expect a personalized experience based on your specific background, needs, and goals.

I feel each client is unique and my approach when working with clients will be specifically catered to each person. I often utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, I believe our experiences from childhood shape who we are as adults and directly impact how we process situations. I offer virtual sessions which can be done from the comfort of your home or office.

Message to clients

Previously, I was an HR business partner and project manager for 20 years. During this time, I felt a strong desire to leave the corporate environment to focus on helping others and giving back to those in need. Watching employees in need and knowing I was not able to appropriately help them led me back to school to complete my Master of Science in Clinical Psychology. Since graduating, I have taken additional training on working with trauma, grief, and anxiety. My compassionate approach in a judgment-free environment makes me an excellent choice when selecting a therapist.

I enjoying helping clients age 15+ through seasoned adults navigate through life's journey.
