I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and received my Master of Social Work degree at Syracuse University.
I encourage self-awareness, understanding, and acceptance of emotions while teaching how to regulate them. My approach includes assisting you with managing distress tolerance, learning effective communication, and creating and maintaining healthy boundaries. I believe self-acceptance and self-love are key to healthy self-esteem and meaningful life. I combine psychotherapy with life skills, teaching you how to transition from maladaptive coping to effective coping skills.
I do not believe in a “one-size-fits-all” approach to therapy, and I cater each approach to your needs and goals by working together to review your history through the attachment theory lens.
I genuinely believe that a lot of one’s struggles stem from ruptures in attachment and unresolved trauma that eventually leads to a dysregulated nervous system.
I have experience in working with complex trauma and anxiety disorders and am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Eye-Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR).
