Professional statement

Anna Gordon is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a telehealth practice open to individuals in California and New York. Anna also has experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and parenting. Anna is an eclectic therapist using a combination of techniques which she tailors to the individual.

Anna creates an inclusive and welcoming environment. She is a trauma informed queer and gender affirming clinician. Clients frequently seek Anna's support when feeling stuck or grappling with relationship issues, shame and difficult life transitions.

She also works with new parents, and is trained in Yale’s pioneering, parent-based approach Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE).

Anna has over a decade of experience in the field. Prior to opening her private practice, she worked at rehab clinic; in her practice today, she incorporates a variety of evidence-based trauma treatment modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM) and mindfulness.

Anna is warm, engaging, and respectfully curious in sessions. She looks forward to connecting with you via a remote session.

Message to clients

I have extensive background in anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction. I provide therapy for individuals in a safe, judgment-free environment. I've helped many people overcome obstacles to satisfaction in life. My clients have found this work leads to transformation and empowerment.
