Anna Klinger is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York City. The majority of Anna's clients are young professionals in their 20s, 30s, and 40s, though her practice is open to adolescents and adults of all ages. She works with individuals who are experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, and adjustment disorders, as well as personality disorders, including Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). Additionally, many of her clients are facing concerns regarding life transitions, personal self-esteem, or relationships with their partner or friends and family.
Anna's approach is integrative; she often works from a psychodynamic lens, with a focus on the therapist-client relationship. She encourages her clients to deeply examine their thought and behavioral patterns before working together to develop healthier coping strategies to regulate their emotions and symptoms. When helpful, she is able to incorporate elements of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
Anna wants her clients to walk away with a better understanding of who they are and what they need in order to feel successful and supported. Currently, she is conducting all therapy sessions online using a variety of platforms.
