Ashley Youngblood is a therapist who works with clients throughout California. She works with women, parents, young adults and families. Ashley is particularly passionate about serving parents and women working their way through a life transition or seeking meaning in their life.
Ashley is trained in mindfulness, client centered therapy, Internal Family Systems, narrative therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and yoga. Ashley believes that working with the mind/body connection is essential to creating positive change in daily life. Clients working with Ashley will become aware of their thoughts, how they are influenced by them, and learn helpful ways to respond to them. Ashley focuses on creating goals and intentions and helping clients move towards them. Sessions incorporate exercises that regulate the nervous system. Ashley supports clients in moving towards their goals, understanding themselves in a deep and compassionate way, and feeling more joyful and at ease in their daily lives. Ashley’s clients report that they enjoy improved relationships, increased confidence, ease and joy.
Ashley received her MA in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. She has worked at TherapyWorks, Seneca Family of Agencies, Los Angeles Child Guidance Clinic, St. Johns Hospital and Children’s Institute Inc. Outside of private practice she loves hiking, yoga, live music, hanging with her daughter, spending time with family and friends, reading and snuggling her dog. Ashley plans on offering in person sessions beginning in Summer of 2024, but has found that the research findings on virtual therapy are true. She believes passionately in the effectiveness of virtual therapy and loves the benefits of clients being able to be comfortable at home during therapy. If you have not yet tried virtual therapy she encourages you to try it and discover how convenient, comfortable and effective it really is!
