Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW Specialties • Insurance & Fees • LocationsBrett enjoys helping adults struggling with intimacy and self worth. Often these struggles can appear as perfectionism, people-pleasing, difficulty getting close to others, needing validation, and having a hard time setting boundaries or making decisions. These challenges frequently trigger coping behaviors like substance abuse, out of control sexual behavior, overworking and burnout, as well as under or over eating and exercising.
During sessions, Brett helps clients identify the experiences and beliefs that shaped expectations for themselves and others. Through mindfulness and compassion practices clients are able to hit pause during habitual patterns, and eventually experience something new. Everyone changes at their own pace. There are no mistakes in therapy, just small steps to get us closer to where we want to be.
At the moment, Brett’s practice is virtual, but in-person sessions will be offered in September 2021. Reach out if you’d like to learn more!
