Professional statement

Brian Lalli is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Providence, RI who specializes in anxiety, depression, ADHD, stress management, academic challenges, and navigating life transitions. A majority of Brian’s clients are children, high school or college students, young adults, and their parents. Having over a decade of experience working in higher education, Brian especially enjoys helping adolescents and emerging adults navigate life transitions, like starting college, entering the working world, or going through a quarter-life crisis.

Brian also has an expertise in helping parents of children with ADHD advocate for a better school situation or developing strategies to ensure academic success. He will also help families find a reputable psychiatrist if they are interested in medication.

Brian’s treatment approach is goal-oriented, utilizing both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. When working with clients who have anxiety, Brian helps them change their thought patterns and develop and implement healthier coping strategies. His sessions are client-focused, and he works with them to better understand themselves and their experiences. He also has experience using shorter-term therapy to help individuals who are dealing with a specific challenge or issue.

Brian has a special understanding of the challenges children, adolescents, and young adults encounter, and he helps them overcome these hurdles to navigate a new life stage. He looks forward to meeting you.

I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space for clients to work through their issues. I help clients understand the relationship between thoughts, feelings and behaviors. I have helped people dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, and other mood disorders. Additionally, I worked on college campuses in student affairs; I understand the unique pressures and stresses that college students face.
