Brian Lalli is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Providence, RI who specializes in anxiety, depression, ADHD, stress management, academic challenges, and navigating life transitions. A majority of Brian’s clients are children, high school or college students, young adults, and their parents. Having over a decade of experience working in higher education, Brian especially enjoys helping adolescents and emerging adults navigate life transitions, like starting college, entering the working world, or going through a quarter-life crisis.

Brian also has an expertise in helping parents of children with ADHD advocate for a better school situation or developing strategies to ensure academic success. He will also help families find a reputable psychiatrist if they are interested in medication.

Brian’s treatment approach is goal-oriented, utilizing both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. His sessions are client-focused, and he works with them to better understand themselves and their experiences. He also has experience using shorter-term therapy to help individuals who are dealing with a specific challenge or issue.

Brian has a special understanding of the challenges children, adolescents, and young adults encounter, and he helps them overcome these hurdles to navigate a new life stage. He looks forward to meeting you.

Message to clients

I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space for clients to work through their issues. I help clients understand the relationship between thoughts, feelings and behaviors. I have helped people dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, and other mood disorders. Additionally, I worked on college campuses in student affairs; I understand the unique pressures and stresses that college students face. I have also helped children and teens improve their relationship with families and struggles in school.

"Brian is terrific. He has an uncanny ability to work with both a parent and child together and meet each of their expectations on their level. He uses very good analogies and asks questions that get you to the root very quickly. Best I’ve been to in 30-40 years."
