Candace Dickinson is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor located in Salem, MA. Candace provides high quality mental health services for young adults and adults who face heightened and debilitating anxiety, feelings of helplessness, and burnout. Many of Candace’s clients have put in effort to improve their mental health but still feel lost and unsure. Their past experiences of trauma hold them back from feeling worthy of the love and acceptance given to them by others. They struggle with perfectionism, holding themselves to high standards.
Candace’s approach to therapy includes techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. Clients learn how to monitor their thought patterns and to establish healthy, self-positive patterns rather than engaging in negative self-talk. Clients also learn how to integrate all aspects of their lives and experiences, finding a common ground where they can feel at peace. Candace offers them ways to heal from their trauma so they can feel free from the past and able to move ahead.
Candace earned a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and Behavioral Medicine from Boston University. She has nearly ten years of experience in the mental health field and believes that all people deserve to feel hopeful about the future.
