Cara Marolda is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. She specializes in trauma, addictions, depression and anxiety disorders. Cara is EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) trained. EMDR is recognized as a highly effective trauma treatment and allows people to heal from emotional pain that has stemmed from distressing life experiences.
Cara believes that everyone experiences distressing or overwhelming challenges at different points in life and that people struggle to manage these inevitable difficulties, get stuck and then subsequently feel defined by their emotional pain. This can negatively impact relationships, ambitions, work and self-worth. She trusts in people’s inherent right to live meaningful and joyful lives and in their ability to choose how to respond to life’s challenges. Cara supports her clients through their courageous process of self-exploration and self-compassion.
Her therapeutic approach involves treating people as a whole: mind, body & spirit. This allows people to develop a deeper understanding of themselves, and with the support of an authentic and collaborative therapeutic relationship, her clients are able to make the changes they want.
