Professional statement

Caroline Carlson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the states of North Carolina and Florida with over 9 years of experience. She is passionate about navigating adults, senior adults, and older adolescents through the challenges of anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and distress.

Her goal is to facilitate self-discovery of answers from within each client so they become equipped and empowered to move through the struggle to a renewed sense of peace and purpose. She specializes in providing counseling to individuals who provide care for loved ones with serious medical conditions, including Dementia. Being a full time caregiver on top of an already stress-filled life can feel overwhelming and disempowering. She will work with you on important Self-Care priorities to help you to feel peace again in the midst of this most distressful of life circumstances.

Caroline also works with Senior Adults experiencing anxiety and depression related to the difficult life changes that come with the agingprocess. Through gently connecting with her senior clients, she provides new insights and assists them in developing important coping skills that lead to better quality of life.

She completed her Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) at Barry University in Miami. As a result of her professional experiences in the hospital, hospice, assisted living, and private therapy settings, Caroline brings a trauma-informed and compassionate approach to her work with clients. She utilizes multiple treatment modalities including mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), person-centered (PCT), and solutions-focused therapy (SFT).

Caroline believes in immediately establishing a comfortable trust with her clients to allow for genuine understanding. She believes that asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness, and is the open door through which we discover the healing answers that lie within.

Caroline is accepting new clients. Please feel free to reach out by using the Book Appointment or Call links on the profile to see the next availability.
