Professional statement

You have a lot on your plate, and are feeling some low self-confidence, burned out, perhaps a bit stuck, frustrated, even a bit defeated. Those closest to you would call you a confident, successful, a go getter... but your internal experience sure doesn't fit that; shame, guilt, stress, discontent, uneasy, feeling like you constantly need to "do better" or "be better"...Perhaps experiences from the past are lingering, getting in your way of the here and now... It gets exhausting, and you're tired of feeling this way, thinking "boy, it'd sure be nice to feel the way others percieve me!"

As a human, I empathize with this! As a Certified EMDR therapist, I have some tools to help you get out of the spiral you're experiencing, and start experiencing yourself, and your life in the ways you're looking to. I understand how past experiences (regardless of how big or small) impact your presently, and how these impacts can start to feel like they're compounding against you. EMDR is an excellent appraoch to unravel this, and spark increased self confidence. Sessions will have a holisitic apprach, bringing awareness to your body's reactions/sensations (because boy, those sensations don't lie). We will utilize new copping skills that fit your personality and lifestyle, touch on parts work, and ensure you have the tools you seek for your personal journey.

If this sounds like areas you're looking for help with I invite you to please reach out.

Message to clients

Sometimes we all experience life feeling heavy, messy, or stagnant. We may know how to move forward but be struggling; or we just have no idea and feel like we're stuck on a merry-go-round.

Well, we've all been there and it sure isn't fun.

That's where therapy comes in. I want to help you feel less stuck, get off the merry-go-round and find your center (again). Therapy with me is all about you, what you'd like to explore, and what your goals are- I'll encourage the most authentic version of yourself- laugh, cry, feel unhinged (it's normal!), frustration; this is the place for all of it. You are never "too much". What you may call your "shameful flaws" I'll honor as "quirks" and adaptations needed to survive prior experiences. I want to help you reprocess painful memories and negative self-beliefs that are impacting you present day so that they no long have power over you and you can feel empowered. How can we be the best version of ourselves, meet our fullest potential, without knowing all parts of ourselves?

I want therapy to feel like a gift to yourself, I will work hard with you to understand how we can make your sessions feel like just the thing you were looking for to carry on, feel lighter, more at peace, and less stagnant.
