Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate, LMHCA Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, LPC-AShe/Her/Hers
Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate, LMHCA Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, LPC-ADo you feel like your challenges are related to prior experiences or traumatic experiences? Have you noticed negative beliefs about yourself? Are prior experiences impacting your current well being? Have you endured sexual trauma? Or are you noticing your parenting style is mirroring your own upbring and you are seeking help to break the cycle? We can work on that! I work with individuals grappling with symptoms related to trauma, ptsd, anxiety/depression, and adult children of parents with borderline personality disorder. Our work together will be collaborative, nonjudgemental, and focused on helping you release thoughts, behaviors, patterns, etc. from the past. Work with me is personal; I will work hard to get to know you, understand your needs, likes/dislikes, and tailor sessions to you.
My approach is client-centered, with common use of psychodynamic therapy (understanding past experiences' impact on present experiences), EMDR, and internal family systems. I am a certified clinical trauma professional, with my masters in mental health counseling through Northwestern Univeristy, and research interests in how gut health impacts mental health. I offer telehealth services across CT and NY, while holding in-person session in RI.
