Professional statement

Do you feel like your challenges are related to prior experiences or traumatic experiences? Have you noticed negative beliefs about yourself? Are prior experiences impacting your current well being? Have you endured sexual trauma? Or are you noticing your parenting style is mirroring your own upbring and you are seeking help to break the cycle? We can work on that! I work with individuals grappling with symptoms related to trauma, ptsd, anxiety/depression, and adult children of parents with borderline personality disorder. Our work together will be collaborative, nonjudgemental, and focused on helping you release thoughts, behaviors, patterns, etc. from the past. Work with me is personal; I will work hard to get to know you, understand your needs, likes/dislikes, and tailor sessions to you.

My approach is client-centered, with common use of psychodynamic therapy (understanding past experiences' impact on present experiences), EMDR, and internal family systems. I am a certified clinical trauma professional, with my masters in mental health counseling through Northwestern Univeristy, and research interests in how gut health impacts mental health. I offer telehealth services across CT and NY, while holding in-person session in RI.

Message to clients

Sometimes we all experience life feeling heavy, messy, or stagnant. We may know how to move forward but be struggling; or we just have no idea and feel like we're stuck on a merry-go-round.

Well, we've all been there and it sure isn't "fun"!

That's where I come in, I want to help you feel less stuck, get off the merry-go-round and find your center (again). Therapy with me is all about you, what you'd like to explore, and what your goals are- I'll encourage the most authentic version of yourself- laugh, cry, feel unhinged (it's normal!), frustration; this is the place for all of it. You are never "too much". What you may call your "shameful flaws" I'll honor as "quirks" and adaptations needed to survive prior experiences. As I help you reprocess painful memories and negative self-beliefs that are impacting you present day.

I'm here to support what you want, give you an ear to listen, help you understand yourself more, and give you as much space for your vulnerability and exploration as possible.

I want therapy to feel like a gift to yourself, I will work hard with you to understand how we can make your sessions feel like just the thing you were looking for to carry on, and feel lighter, more at peace, and less stagnant.
