Professional statement

Christina Bedetta Willett is a registered dietitian based in Rhode Island. She is passionate about supporting and empowering others with their nutrition intentions, from managing nutrition related medical conditions, to nourishing and caring for themselves in ways that are aligned with their unique values and needs. Christina is also a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, and enjoys supporting individuals with cultivating and maintaining a peaceful relationship with food and body.

Christina practices from a Health At Every Size® perspective, and values providing compassionate, evidence-based, inclusive care to all individuals. Many of Christina’s clients have encountered varying challenges surrounding eating experiences, which may be related to a history of disordered thoughts and beliefs about food and their body, difficult lived experiences, medical conditions that impact their eating habits, or a combination of factors. Christina applies her experience with medical nutrition therapy, and current research in her work with clients. Her approach is rooted in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), as she aims to help clients to redefine their relationship with their thoughts and actions surrounding their bodies and eating experiences, and live meaningful lives.

Christina’s style is compassionate, curious, supportive, and human. She understands the many complexities that play into nourishing oneself, and acknowledges the challenges of living in a society with such narrow ideals for body size, appearance, and health. She appreciates every opportunity to listen and learn about the unique experiences of each individual, and strives to offer the utmost support, and nutrition education and guidance for navigating each season of life.

Message to clients

Nutrition advice and misinformation is given pretty loosely out in the world, which can be both confusing and overwhelming! Food is truly so much more than sustenance for our bodies- it can also bring us joy, and play a center role in our cultural and personal values, traditions and experiences.

I appreciate the opportunity to get to know you, and work together to find the ways of nourishing and caring for yourself that feel best for you, both now and in the long term.
